5 out of 5 stars Outstanding and Comprehensive   November 6, 2008
Sonia King is one of the most talented and diverse of mosaic masters of the current age. Her well known generosity and willingness to share her knowledge shine through in this beautifully photographed book. From beginner to advanced, all can come away from reading this book with a fresh inspiration to try something new. This book goes from traditional beginnings and understanding of the art, to contemporary tools and ideas that inspire. This is a must have for any mosaic artist or fan thereof!

5 out of 5 stars A great book for reference and practical use.   November 5, 2008
I am just a beginner but I think this book is very informative and gives great techniques and ideas for doing mosaics. Sonia King draws from many historical traditions of mosaic making and gives you very good background on the art. Her work is of the highest quality.

This book creates instant inspiration the moment you open it. When I need the "Juices" to get going, I take 20 minutes to browse through this wonderful book and I'm ready to start a new project!

5 out of 5 stars Great book by a great mosaic artist   June 23, 2008
I had the good fortune to take a class with Sonia King. She is very talented and has a wealth of informaton which she shares very effectively in her book. Not quite like taking the class - but the next best thing if you can't meet her in person. The book is very inspirational and informative.
