5 out of 5 stars Imaginative projects, fantastic instruction!   September 22, 2007
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

This book is one of my favorite Polymer Clay books of all time! Finding Christi Friesen and her wonderful techniques has given me so much enjoyment in my art. Christi's explanations and pictures of step-by-step instruction are unmatched as far as I'm concerned. And she's a very funny lady! You will enjoy this...it's a must-have for the Polymer artist.

My second favorite book is Under the Sea
Under the Sea (Beyond Projects: The CF Sculpture Series, Book 3)

4 out of 5 stars Great book to follow her Dragon book   May 23, 2007
I got this after using her Dragon book and boy it's even better! Great instructions and photography so you can turn out great work in no time.

5 out of 5 stars Nice little tutorial   May 13, 2007
If your looking to create lifelike sculptures you may want to look elsewhere. But this books (and the others in the series) are perfect for the beginner or novice using clay, and a bare minimum of tools, to create very nice little sculptures to be used as a stand alone pieces or to fashion into jewelry. I highly recommend this book.

3 out of 5 stars Animals?   April 6, 2007
3 out of 3 found this review helpful

I am disappointed. The only animals covered are 1 bug, a tree sloth and a frog. It's primarily plants and leaves. So if you're hoping for animals, this is not it. Also, it is more of a substantial pamphlet than a book. Otherwise, it's okay.

4 out of 5 stars Full of ideas   March 12, 2007
I also have the 1st book in this series. These are invaluable resources for those just new to the art of polymer clay as well as those with more experience. These small books certainly pack a lot of ideas and inspiration into just a few pages. If you are working with kids I highly recomend these books as they are full of great colourful characters that will easily grab any kids imagination, and the step by step process is easy to follow. If you are an adult, this is a great how to book for making individual characters and details, and giving your creations a personality of their own. I love Christi sense of humour, it brings a great sense of fun to the process.
