Another Gene Florence winner! May 10, 1999 10 out of 13 found this review helpful
Love all of the books by this author. You will reach for this book time and time again. Well done. Lots of pictures and good information. Well done, Gene!
Fabulous photography, histories, and general information. April 11, 1999 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
I have absolutely fallen in love with Anchor Hocking's Fire King pieces, so I bought this book as a reference guide to begin my collection. I looked through about 8 books on glassware, but this is the ONLY one that had the best pictures and information. I did also buy another book by Gene Florence (mostly for a slightly different range in pricing), but this is the one that I keep going back to for reference. I am amazed at the number of pieces shown, and in color, which is extremely helpful for any new collector. I would recommend this book, as well as his Fire King book (minus the errors I keep hearing about!) to anyone who wants a couple of well-rounded guides to finding Fire King pieces.
This is one of the best books on depression and milk glass. November 2, 1998 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
As a collector of mainly milk glass, I am impressed with the amount of milk glass shown in this book, especially Petalware pieces. The author is very knowledgeable and wants comments from readers of the book. This is a must for milk glass collectors.
Incredibly informative and fascinating October 12, 1998 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
This book is a "must have" for anyone who browses flea markets, garage sales and antique stores. The text is fun and easy to read and the photography is outstanding.
