5 out of 5 stars One of My Two favorite PC Books So Far   November 12, 2006
3 out of 3 found this review helpful

This book (along with Judy Belcher's "Polymer Clay: Creative Traditions") is one of my two favorite books on polymer clay. I look for books with basic polymer clay techniques along with more difficult techniques I may apply once I am more experienced. This book satisfies both of those needs and more. Most of the techniques can be applied to bead making which is my current interest.

1 out of 5 stars The Art of Polymer Clay   November 4, 2006

It is an excellent book on how to make polymer clay jewelry, figures, etc. I have watched Donna Kato on TV and she is an excellent polymer clay artist. She should have her own TV show. I congratulate her for doing such a good, meticulous job on polymer clay. Thank you, Gloria

4 out of 5 stars Get the more recent volume...   July 14, 2006

Great ideas and ways to get one started in Polymer Clay; however, I ordered it at the same time as the newer volume and felt this version was not as useful. Why? Only because of the more up-to-date information on tools and clay varieties. So purchase the newest volume if you want to keep up with the latest, particularly tools, like me!

I am giving my mom the gift of the older volume since she is more focused on gift ideas...again, like I said were great plus creative. She will love this book as she doesn't care too much about the products and tools, like I am.

No matter what, you cannot go wrong with either one. Enjoy Polymer Clay! What a great world to escape to!

This is a well written, easy to understand book. There are alot of fabulous creations with pretty good instructions. The pictures are great, the instructions are clear and the text is easy to follow. Great find.

I need more stars to rate this book. Does Donna Kato do anything wrong though! This book helps those of us that are trying to learn and also what mistakes not to do. This is just what I have been looking for and I thank her for the help she has given me.
