4 out of 5 stars Great Book!   June 23, 2008
A wonderful commpilation of the Quimper pottery family. It was a gift for my friend who is a Quimper collector. She loved it!

5 out of 5 stars A comprehensive, authoritative and well organized guide to Quimper Pottery   December 17, 2007
This book is a comprehensive and well-organized guide to Quimper Pottery -suitable for the serious collector as well as the beginner. The text is authoritative and readable, with an excellent index for ready reference. It is well-illustrated with color photographs which are instructive as well as beautiful. A glossary of terms, a time-line illustrating the development of Quimper faience, chapters on the artists as well as the manufacturers (and their marks)of Quimper, and a guide to factors affecting the value of pieces, are particularly useful. Highly recommended.

4 out of 5 stars Quimper First Visited   May 14, 2007
As a more recent collector of Quimper I needed to purchase a good guide on the earlier and more expensive wares. I found the history of the origins, styles and values most interesting and useful. The book was well illustrated covering the various styles and the all important section on the Factory Marks complemented the volume at the end.

The History of the people andpottery of Provenc includes much pottery of the region, but particularly the development of Quimper. The pictures are lovely and the values listed are valid.
