3 out of 5 stars An interesting book for getting general ideas about ceramic design, but lacks strong discussion about design principles   November 24, 2008

An interesting book for getting general ideas about ceramic design, but lacks strong discussion about design principles. It covers a fair range of what you can do with clay, but I think the discussion is superficial. I expected much more.

4 out of 5 stars A great book for those interested in ceramic design   March 9, 2008

This book is a great resource for ceramic artists who are interested in improving their design process. It would also be helpful for beginning industrial design students.

I would caution potential purchasers that this is not a 'how to make pottery book'. If you are looking for a book on how to make your own pottery this is not what you are looking for. If you are looking to better understand and design your work including integrating form, shape and color. Than I am sure you will get a lot out of this book.
