Mixed media brings lots of new possibilities to polymer clay crafting.

Polymer Clay and Mixed Media?Together at Last is about making polymer clay figures?jewelry pieces, focal beads, decor items, knick-knacks?and incorporating beads, fibers, fabrics, glass, stones, etc. to create special effects. Embellishing polymer clay with mixed media adds a sophistication and richness without making the projects complicated or inaccessible to the average crafter.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars the best Polymer Clay book out there!   December 21, 2008
This is my favorite Chrstie Friesen book and also my favorite Polymer Clay book! The layout is fantastic, the pictures are wonderful and the instructions are easy to follow.

Chrsiti's sense of humor shines through in this book making a fun read out of things that I thought I already knew. I found myself reading it in its entirety and I learned many new things that are basic about polymer clay. It is a great book to learn about the clay in general and invaluable in know how to mix other materials into polymer.

I personally love all of the projects in this book. Christi makes them all very approachable. I think that readers will find themselves having a hard time choosing which project to make first!

4 out of 5 stars Excellent how-to book for sculptural pieces   December 18, 2008

Christi Friesen's book is an excellent how-to book for making sculptural pieces. She has a very unique style and she is generous in sharing how she gets her pieces to look the way they do. This book focuses on adding various other elements to polymer clay pieces (hence the "mixed media"). There are step-by-step pictures and clear instructions for every project. She has a tongue-in-cheek style of writing and a great sense of humor and it makes for an entertaining read.

I recieved my copy of this book last week. And let me tell you I couldn't wait to tear into it. (well not literally ;-) ) cf writes with such a wonderful style and wit, it makes reading her books a pleasure. there are loads of new projects in this books and as with all of Christi's books left me waiting for more. Along with all her other smaller books, this is another book that I will come back to time and time again. Thanks cf!!!

Christi writes her books with great instructions, and a lot of humor. I pre-ordered this book back in June and just received it the other day; it was so worth the wait. Her books are good for a beginner and advanced. She goes over all the basics with each book so the beginner will not get lost. I have all her polymer clay books; each one is like opening up a wonderful present. I am a huge fan...

If you own the other Christi Friesen books then you will understand the feeling of wanting more pages when you finish each one! There is so much more information! There is a little bit of repeat info, but who is so good they they can't use a little "brush-up"? Christi Friesen is an incredible artist and writer! Her book is so easy to follow. Great step-by-step examples! I think this book makes my Polymer Clay Library complete! Do not hesitate! Buy! Quickly! Now! The sooner you do the sooner you can start making these awesome projects!
