Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Yellow ware was produced for over a century and played an important part in pottery history. Its popularity on the collector's market has brought about much new information in recent years. Lisa McAllister reveals the latest knowledge and introduces pieces that have never been in print before in her all-new Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware. There are over 300 full-color photos, with descriptions, sizes, and current values. The pieces are categorized by type, demonstrating that yellow ware wasn't just utilitarian kitchen ware. Besides the bowls, plates, pitchers, and storage crocks, there are inkwells, banks, animal figures, and much more! There's also an informative section on the potters and their marks, a glossary, and a bibliography. 2003 values. AUTHORBIO: In 1992 Lisa McAllister co-authored her first volume of the Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware with John Michel. That book has been brought back into print with updated information and current market values. She has also produced two more volumes on her own in that series, as well as the Collector's Guide to Feather Edge Ware. REVIEW: This book is the second in a three-volume series by Lisa S. McAllister. It has been revised to include current information and updated collector values. A must for all yellow ware enthusiasts.

2 out of 5 stars Misinformation in both of her books   September 22, 2002

Although there are nice pictures and NICE overinflated prices,
there is much information and labeling of yellow ware that is incorrect. It is obvious that this author doesn't know enough about pottery to be considered an authority on yellow ware. the only book that I know of that has the correct information for the begginer and the scholar is Gallo's book, a great reference. When is he going to do another one?

5 out of 5 stars If you have the first Yellow Ware book you must have this.   December 29, 1997

This book has even more information than the first! The color photography is wonderful. The entire book is filled with photos of many rare and unusual pieces. She has also added a section on Potters and their marks to aide in identification.A well researched and enjoyable guide for the Yellow Ware Collector. I hear number three's in the works.
